Of course, it's the ideal starting point for venturing into the Moroccan High Atlas, but there's also plenty to see in and around the town Heritage Site, the Taourirt Kasbah bears witness to the splendour of Amazigh architecture. With its typical ochre colour and earthen facades, this Ksar is thought to have been built in the 17th century. At the time, it was the heart of the town of Ouarzazate. Visiting the Taourirt Kasbah is like taking a plunge back in time, discovering architectural elements dating back several centuries. Located 3 km from the Riad, it can be reached via the gardens that border the river, on foot or on a donkey with a guide, or by road, on foot or by car. A\u00eft Ben Haddou lies on a hillside. Built around the 17th century, it has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1987, as it is a perfect illustration of the type of earthen construction used at the time, as well as the traditional dwellings of southern Moroccan culture. Its agadir (fortified granary) welcomed caravans from Mali on their way to Marrakech.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div
